International trade professionals and businesses have been granted another three weeks to submit their entries to the 2025 International Trade Awards.
The Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, which runs the awards scheme, has today (18 August) announced the deadline will be extended until Sunday 7 September.
The awards are free to enter and you can submit nominations for the six categories here, either for yourself or peers in the sector.
Six categories
This year, the Chartered Institute will be celebrating traders and firms across six categories:
· MSME Business of the Year Award
· Rising Talent in Trade Award
· Social Impact in Trade Award
· Innovation in Trade Award
· Investment in Trade Award
· 90-year Honour: Legacy in Trade Award
The final category has been introduced to mark the Chartered Institute’s 90th anniversary, and celebrates “exceptional dedication, leadership and impact over the course of a career or sustained period”.
The anniversary week coincides with 19 November, when the winners will be announced at the Import Export Show.
A panel of leading trade experts has been selected to review the award nominations and choose winners.
Import Export Show
Returning for a third year and taking place at London’s Leonardo Royal Hotel’s London St Paul’s location, the Import Export Show will explore how professionals and businesses can work to ‘secure international trade’ in light of a tumultuous year of geopolitical upheaval and ongoing changes to trade rules and regulations.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and network with leading industry experts, who will deliver strategic insight into policy and geopolitical shifts, as well as practical workshops to support day-to-day operational execution and compliance.
There’s still time to book tickets to this year’s Import Export Show, which you can do here.
An ‘early bird’ offer remains in place until 19 September, with a 10% discount for groups of five or more.
Celebrating achievements
The Chartered Institute’s head of events, Charlie Laycock, said that she was pleased to see so many from within the international trade community celebrating their achievements.
“We’re excited to give businesses and trade professionals more time to come forward and highlight their own successes, as well as those of outstanding peers in the sector.
“It’s been a great to see so many members of our community take the time to celebrate their achievements but, amid a busy summer season dominated by geopolitical and trade uncertainty, we wanted to ensure that everyone who would like to enter has the opportunity to do so.”
