HMRC consultations and Customs Intermediary Standard

Member exclusive event

Duration:

1 Hour

Location:

Online Only

Start Date:

11 Aug 2026 1:00 pm

End Date:

11 Aug 2026 2:00 pm

The rules governing UK customs operations are changing rapidly and your business cannot afford to wait. After the British Standards Institution published the Customs Intermediary Standard (PAS 41201) last month, the relationship between importers, exporters and customs agents has fundamentally shifted.

To help you navigate the new standard, this exclusive member-only session brings the architects of the policy directly to you, providing a transparent look at what 'best-in-class' compliance looks like today, and what independent certification will cost you tomorrow.

Beyond the new standard, the clock is ticking on two critical government consultations:

1.            Modernising customs processes

2.            Mandatory registration for all intermediaries

This forum features guest speakers Mark McGuire, HMRC's head of customs intermediaries strategy, and Anna Doherty, technical director at the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, and gives you the opportunity have your questions answered directly in our live Q&A session.

This event also marks the official launch of the Chartered Institute's member survey. By attending, you will get the opportunity to voice your practical challenges on the ground, directly shaping our industry response.
